A commitment to empowering brands in Japan and throughout Asia.

With the Japanese economy nearly at a standstill following the bursting of the economic bubble in the late 1980s, Japanese corporations failed to keep pace with their U.S. and European counterparts in building their brands. Since its inception, Gramco has focused its energies on overcoming this deficiency by developing and implementing powerful brand strategies that enable Japanese companies to compete more effectively in the global marketplace. Our core mission is to strengthen Japan's corporations ― and, as a result, the Japanese economy as a whole ― by helping them present strong, clearly defined brands to the outside world.

Our contributions to corporations and society at large are not only economic, however. One of our greatest sources of satisfaction comes from seeing a successful branding project enhance the pride and ethical standards of all the members of a corporate group.

Our work of helping corporations establish their brands also benefits consumers by facilitating their ability to identify products and services they can count on to meet their needs. Their are many excellent companies in Japan and throughout Asia that are unknown to many potential customers because their brands are weak. Strong brands give consumers more choices by bringing these companies to light.

Yet another role of branding (and of good design in general) is to add quality to people's lives by improving the aesthetics of their daily environment. Gramco's contributions in this respect range from signage and shopping bag design to full-scale space design that enhances the pleasure and satisfaction customers take in visiting our clients' stores, restaurants, business offices and other facilities.

In the Chinese market as well, where growth can be expected to continue into the future, brand competition among global players is currently intensifying. We support Japanese, Chinese and Japanese-Chinese joint venture corporations operating in China by transferring the know-how and methods we have developed in the course of our history as a Japanese branding firm.

In the years to come, we will continue to expand our range of activities aimed at enhancing the brand power of corporations throughout the Asian region, where growth and development are unfolding at an unprecedented pace.
